Needed a little brightness to keep me awake. :) |
Puppy Page #2, June 3, 2001 Mac and Sasha's second litter. |
We're still in the process of having puppies, I think. Baby #8 was born almost an hour ago. Don't think we're done yet. |
Mama and all 8 babies are doing well. |
Litter will be registered with the birth date of June 2nd even though we're workin' overtime on the 3rd here :) |
I'm tryin' to get pictures of the black babies but they aren't cooperating. Acting like stubborn little Akitas already :) |
Well, it's just about 3:00 a.m. Been at this since 7:30 p.m. I just looked up the notes on Sasha's first litter. She had puppy #9 at 11:30 p.m. and puppy #10 at 5:15 a.m. Almost 6 hours apart. Guess I better not go to bed yet :) My camera batteries are low so I'm going to go play some Backgammon for a while. More pictures tomorrow, or later today I should say, I promise. |
Really bad picture, wasn't kidding about the batteries. (I have more, fear not, but I'm running out of poop.) You can still see the white knee socks on baby girl #6. She'll either look like her daddy or brindle like mama. Too early to tell. |
It's 3:10 a.m. and all's well, last count, 4 girls and 4 boys. Everybody is terrificly awesome :) |
Baby boy #9 just showed up. Born at 3:11 a.m. He looks EXACTLY like baby boy #3 only the white tip on his tail is smaller and the white triangle on his chest is bigger. Sheesh. Still easier to tell these guys apart than her last litter. Her first litter ALL started out black with white toes. Except for about 4 of um. |
Make that 5 boys and 4 girls. Tell her to stop already :) |
Baby boy #10 came into the world at 3:50 a.m. He is almost totally black. Very little white on this guy. |
Grand total, I think, 6 boys and 4 girls, just like her first litter. |
Everybody is fat and sassy and doin' great. |
I think this is baby girl #5. She only has white toes on one front foot. |
I realize these pictures aren't the greatest. Are they ever? hehehe Babies are so new I don't want to mess with um too much. It's not like they're real cooperative at this age either. On the next page we'll get rid of the numbers and give them their nicknames. Just a little more personal way to tell them apart. I don't call them by their nicknames. They have no idea they have nicknames. See ya on the next page. |
Some of the babies have numbers next to them. The ones that I can identify. The number is birth order. It helps with identification.. I gotta' git' to know um a little better before I can nickname um. |
